Tennis Elbow is pain that is along the lateral aspect of the elbow, and is also known as lateral epicondylitis. It can result from a sports injury, repetitive motion, overuse, or insidious (unknown cause). Common symptoms include pain and tenderness along the outside of the elbow, weakness in grip strength, and sometimes a burning sensation along the elbow.
Most individuals experiencing elbow pain may recover within a few weeks. However, some individuals find the pain and weakness does not improve even after stopping activities that aggravate the symptoms.
