Acupuncture & Neuromodulation
At Armsworthy Acupuncture & Wellness, we move beyond traditional labels to offer evidence-based treatments rooted in neuromodulation. By strategically stimulating specific neural pathways, we communicate directly with your nervous system to facilitate healing, manage pain, and restore internal balance.
Our services are categorized into two primary areas of focus:
-
Clinical Rehab & Targeted Recovery
Designed for orthopedic concerns, sports injuries, and acute or chronic pain. These sessions utilize anatomical precision to reduce local inflammation, improve range of motion, and accelerate tissue repair. Whether you are recovering from a surgery or managing a persistent injury, we focus on functional results.
-
Integrated & Systemic Health
This approach addresses the "whole body" by regulating the autonomic nervous system. By shifting the body from a state of stress (fight-or-flight) into recover (rest-and-digest), we treat systemic concerns such as sleep disturbances, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, and chronic stress. This is where clinical science meets the profound restorative power of the "Acu-nap".
Tools for Recovery:
Electro-Acupuncture
Electroacupuncture involves electrical stimulation of acupuncture points through the needles inserted in the body. The stimulus that is passed through the needles provides and achieves continuous stimulation. The activation of these acupoints can have specific effects on pain, relaxation, and most importantly the circulation of Qi, Blood, and Body Fluids. This therapy is particularly used in conditions of acute or chronic pain, paralysis, muscle wasting, nerve damage, sciatica.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha involves scraping to produce light petechiae on the surface of the skin. This method is used to release any unhealthy pathogens from the body. It is often used to relieve muscle tension, treatment of a cold, fever, and problems of the lungs.
TCM Cupping
Cupping therapy involves creating a vacuum suction with glass or plastic cups and placing it on different parts of the body. The intention of cupping is to increase and facilitate the flow of Blood and Qi circulation to promote healing.
